Hey y’all! I’m so glad you’re here! I was born and raised under the beautiful and never disappointing Arizona sunsets, where I also met and married my college sweetheart and we’ve been married for eight years. After living in Arizona my whole life, my husbands job took us to Texas were we both fell instantly in love with rodeos and bluebonnets. Then after two years in Texas, we relocated to Georgia for his dream job, and live just outside of the busy city of Atlanta (yes the traffic is real).
I love to create, and it has been apart of me since I was very little. I can still remember as a little girl, helping my grandma set up art supplies in old lemonade tin cans at the after school program she worked at. I have a degree in Education and Geography from ASU, and while children and the Earth still hold a special place in my heart, it is painting and creating where I find myself the most joyful.
If you know me, then you know I say “y’all”, and moving to Texas and Georgia have only continued to expand my “southern vocabulary”. You know that I LOVE the weather, and have even heard of me storm chasing. Yes, I’ve seen the movie Twister well over 100 times. My celebrity twin is Amanda Seyfried, because she loves the weather just as much as I do. We both dressed up like Helen Hunt (kaki shorts and white tank) when we were younger, we both had weather books and binders filled with pictures of clouds, and in general we both were obsessed with weather.
If you and I were to meet for the first time you would quickly learn that am quiet and reserved, sitting back to observe my surroundings before I feel comfortable enough to let myself go and be silly. Then I’m sure you would learn that I enjoy the outdoors, nature, and how I’m always taking pictures of the beauty around me. You would also learn that I aspire to be a professional glamper, a.k.a. all the things a luxury hotel has but outside…in a tent.
My journey and relationship with God has been full of healing, learning, blissful highs, and desperate lows. It wasn’t until I completely surrendered to resting in and receiving the deep love God has for me, that my eyes and heart were opened to experiencing Him right here on Earth. It is because of His love that I am here to be able to watch God’s redeeming glory come to fruition in my life, my marriage, and relationships around me.
What’s my bliss?
-hot chocolate, fire crackling, snowy day in a cabin somewhere
-spending time with Jesus
-dates with my husband
-walking our sweet Chocolate Lab, Liberty.
-watching “Meet Me In St. Louis” every year
-camping (it’s the simple things)
-a bowl full of peanut M&Ms
-holidays (the smells, the decorating, and the food)
-my nephew and nieces
-playing family games (the laughter)
